I’m going to be really open and honest with you this week…
After months of making promises to myself (more like a year and a half) I realised that I needed help.
Now trust me, this is a big step for me. I’m stubborn, independent, passionate and proud. I like to be able to do things on my own, I like to prove a point, and I don’t like to give in.
But this time, I needed help.
I approached my boyfriend (he’s in the defence and has to pass mandatory fitness testing) and asked him to help me get fit again.
So, as a benchmark, he suggested we weigh in and measure last Sunday.
I’ll admit, the thought of my very fit boyfriend measuring me was terrifying… and the actual day was mortifying.
He knows me and my body, but having him wrap a tape measure around my naked gut made me curl up on the inside.
Why am i telling you this?
Because not only did he not mind, he’s been super supportive. There is no judgement, he still finds me attractive just as i am, but also wants to help me reach my own goals.
Business is the same.
Sometimes you just have to ask for help, and that’s perfectly ok. You might hire a coach or a support person, you might find a mastermind group who can help you through, you might confide in a friend or family member for help and support.
It doesn’t matter right now if it’s free help, or a paid service – I just want you to know it’s OK to ask.
Business doesn’t have to be a hard and lonely journey, reach out to those around you.
Your Challenge for this week:
Ask for help! Be brave, reach out to someone and tell them what you are struggling with.
Feeling really brave, share with me, here below. Be honest, tell me what’s going on for you and what help you need.
We are all here for you
Sam xx
