Book 4 of the 52 books in 52 weeks challenge.
For book 4 of the 52 books in 52 week challenge, I read “Meditation, Searching for the real you”.
I was at the local library looking for interesting things to read when I stumbled across this one.
If you know me at all, you know that my life is hectic to say the least. Mostly by design because I like it that way, I love to be busy and productive.
So it seemed like the perfect book, to challenge myself to take a little time and slow down.
Interestingly enough, the book wasn’t so much about meditation itself, as I thought it would be.
Instead the book looked at the principles surrounding meditation.
It looks at the “rules” and beliefs that support meditation, the way you should live your life, the habits you build and so much more.
I found the book enthralling and took pages of notes.
It was an interesting look into a world that I had very little knowledge of, and it definitely challenged the way that I look at some things.
All in all, although it wasn’t about what I thought it was… I’m glad that I stumbled across the book.
