We’re all “busy” right…
The thing is… while we are all “busy” – there is plenty of time that we can use productively to get more out of our day.
So today I set you a challenge, instead of always using “busy” as an excuse, look for ways to make the most out of what you have.
For example: After months of being “too busy” to look after me… I took the really simple step of creating a standing desk (I use the term “desk” loosely here… it’s several stacks of books and a piece of plywood ). The simple act of raising my laptop to a standing desk, is a way that I can look after me, even though I am busy.
Facebook was always my other giant time black hole… it just sucks time… so instead of always saying that I was too busy to do the important things, I started looking really carefully at the time I spent on Facebook. No more mindless scrolling through my newsfeed, instead signing in with clear intentions to complete tasks.
So, do you really know where your time goes and what makes you so “busy”?
Feeling brave? The instant way to “up” your productivity is
Write down exactly how long it takes you to do tasks and see where your black holes are. Then look for ways to make those chunks of time more productive.
I can’t give you more hours in a day, but we can use your work hours more productively (and the HUGE benefit of this… it means that you have to spend less hours working, as you are far more productive in those hours).
